During his visit to the Faculty of Computing and Information Karam d. Khalid Al-Bari, President of Zagazig University, the team ranked first locally and third globally in the competition organized by Dell MEC in 2016/2017 and participated in 216 projects in the Middle East and Southern Europe and North Africa, Abdul Nasser Hussein Dean of the College and Dr. Dr. Khaled Al-Darandli, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Khaled Hosny, Vice Dean for Environmental Affairs.

Dr. Khalid Abdul Bari expressed his happiness with this achievement and excellence always dedicated to the college, it includes the most distinguished students and faculty members, this excellence, which transcends the borders of Egypt, which will be honored during the next month in Dubai, UAE, although this indicates that we have a good young distinguished and has a determination to take advantage Research, and also indicates the keenness of the faculty member to give the information and carry out his message to the fullest. The faculty has a distinguished group of professors, assistant professors and preachers and they have the lead to obtain master's degrees and doctorate from abroad.

The university president added that the college, in addition to its scientific activity, also contributes significantly and effectively to the management, provision and facilitation of university services provided by students, researchers and faculty members in various disciplines.

For his part, Abdul Nasser Hussein said that the College is always seeking to keep abreast of the latest and what is required of the labor market, where the College held a cooperation agreement with IBM through which to provide training to students on the requirements of the international certificate for free. Adding that Zagazig calculators are the only college in the faculties of computers which for the second time achieved the best achievement in the Middle East and ranked it with the best success rates. The college also surpassed this distinction by winning first place during its participation in the Egyptian Universities Youth Week held at Menoufia University.

The President of the University honored the winning team of the competition and gave them certificates of appreciation. They are Ahmed Mohamed El Sayed Elioh, Amr Mohamed Abdel Fattah, Ahmed Mohamed Salah El Din, Fady Fectar Zarif, Menna Allah Mohamed Zakaria, Mirna Bushra Phillips. The award also included the winners of the 11th University Youth Week competitions, including student Adel Adnan, who won first place in the scientific research activity, and Nada Emad Abdulsalam, who is the first place in the electronics activity.
